European Track Championships - Berlin

Set in the velodrome in Berlin, this was a variety of different track events.
Due to time constraints, I only ended up watching an hour or so of this with the following events.

The Ladies points race.  About 70 laps of going round and round the track with riders seemingly picking up points for lapping and catching the field and also being in the first few places across the line at various sprint laps.
I really didn't have a clue what was going on and people were being awarded points that completely confused me. A very odd event. It was won by Trine Schmidt from Denmark with 62 points. His nearest rival had 29 points so I guess whatever he did right, it was impressive.
Next came a mens sprint race which is best of three, one on one. Dennis Dimitriv looked impressive in winning his quarter final.
My final event was the Men's elimination in the Omnium. Great fun as every couple of laps, last across the line is eliminated. All about the positioning it seems. Szymon Sajnog of Poland won the event.
